How the tag works
Focalyard uses the tracking tag focalyard-20. An Amazon link on an article carries it as tag=focalyard-20 in the query string.
You leave Focalyard when you follow the link. Amazon can read the tag you followed. If the purchase qualifies, Amazon can credit that tag.
A commission, when Amazon pays one, does not change the price you see at checkout. The total is Amazon's total.
Each link carries the tag focalyard-20 once.
Article pages that contain an Amazon link also show a short support line under the byline. That line points here. It is not a second copy of the Associates sentence.
Each Amazon link is marked sponsored and nofollow. The markers tell a browser, and a search tool, that the link is commercial.
The footer on every page says: As an Amazon Associate, Focalyard earns from qualifying purchases. The short line under an article byline says the page is reader-supported and points here. Whether a purchase qualifies is defined by Amazon.

What a gear row shows
A gear row shows the spec the paragraph just used. Aperture in mm, focal length in mm, focal ratio, weight, and focuser size are the usual fields.
A gear row is grouped by aperture, focal length, focal ratio, weight, and focuser size. The row does not carry a price. It does not carry a star rating. It does not carry a count of comments.
A 1.25 in barrel and a 2 in barrel stay distinct. A 2 in eyepiece needs a 2 in focuser. An adapter only goes the other way: a 1.25 in eyepiece in a 2 in focuser. The row says which.
A named model is checked on the spec page.
Placement follows the editorial policy. A link does not move a magnification, an exit pupil, or a weight.
